RSS Global Limited is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
RSS Global and its operating companies in the United Kingdom are committed to protecting the environment by demonstrating high standards of environmental responsibility in all our operations and minimising the environmental impacts associated with our activities and services. In particular we recognise the importance of decarbonising our business and we have set a goal for group operations to achieve net zero by 2050.
RSS Global is committed to the long-term sustainability of the recruitment and staffing solutions sector and is working to eliminate carbon (Scope 1 and 2) from its operations by 2030.

Emissions reduction targets
Continue reducing carbon emissions intensity and maintain the improvements achieved through the EMS by lowering CO₂e emissions per £100m UK revenue, whilst supporting the organisation’s longer-term commitment to Net Zero by 2050.
Carbon reduction projects
Since publishing its previous Carbon Reduction Plan, RSS Global has continued to deliver environmental improvements through its ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and has successfully achieved its carbon intensity reduction objective ahead of target. During the 2025 reporting period, carbon emissions intensity reduced to 50.38 tCO₂e per £100m UK revenue, exceeding the company target of 62.8 tCO₂e per £100m UK revenue and representing a 39.8% improvement against the baseline year.
Key carbon reduction activities undertaken during 2025 and continuing into 2026 include:
- Ongoing rationalisation of the UK property portfolio through office consolidation, downsizing and migration towards serviced and flexible workspace solutions.
- Continued support for hybrid and virtual working arrangements to reduce property-related emissions and business travel.
- Reduction of transport emissions through the removal of company fleet vehicles.
- Increased utilisation of Microsoft Teams and other digital collaboration technologies to reduce unnecessary business travel.
- Mandatory environmental awareness training for employees via the KnowHow learning platform to improve engagement and support carbon reduction objectives.
- Continued recycling of end-of-life IT equipment and maintenance of paperless working practices across the Group.
- Development of enhanced environmental KPIs, carbon reporting and management oversight to support continual improvement and monitor progress towards Net Zero
Future carbon reduction initiatives
Looking ahead, RSS Global will continue to focus on reducing Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions through further property portfolio optimisation, travel reduction initiatives, increased use of flexible working arrangements and strengthened environmental reporting. These measures support RSS Global’s commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 and maintaining continual improvement under its certified ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Declaration and sign off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 006 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans. Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR Requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors
